How Kari Research collects, processes, secures, and protects data across panelists and clients, benchmarked against enterprise research industry standards.
Last updated: August 3, 2026. This Privacy Notice explains how Kari Research (“we,” “us”) handles personal data when you participate in our panels or engage our sample supply services. It applies to panelists, clients, and visitors to this website.
Information We Collect
From panelists. Registration and contact details you provide, profiling attributes you share (role, seniority, firmographics, demographics), survey responses, and technical signals such as device type, IP address, and behavioral interaction data used for quality verification.
From clients. Company and contact details of the people who engage us, project briefs and targeting criteria, integration credentials, and correspondence related to feasibility, delivery, and billing.
Use of AI & Automated Processing in Data Quality
We deploy machine learning models to detect AI-generated responses, synthetic respondents, bots, and low-quality engagement. These models analyze response patterns, typing cadence, open-ended text, and consistency signals. Automated decisions may result in a response being excluded, a panelist being routed out, or an account being suspended.

Data Security & Anonymization
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, access is restricted to personnel with a legitimate need, and deliverables are anonymized: client datasets receive tokenized respondent identifiers, never personal contact information.
International Data Transfers
We operate across multiple regions. When personal data is transferred across borders, we rely on recognized transfer mechanisms such as adequacy decisions or Standard Contractual Clauses, and we maintain Data Processing Agreements with clients and suppliers as applicable.
Global Regulatory Compliance
We align our processing with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act and California Privacy Rights Act (CCPA/CPRA), and the ESOMAR International Code on Market, Opinion and Social Research and Data Analytics.
- GDPR: processing is based on documented lawful bases, with data subject rights honored on request.
- CCPA/CPRA: California residents may exercise rights to know, delete, and opt out of sales or sharing, subject to applicable exceptions.
- ESOMAR: fieldwork follows the industry code for consent, transparency, and respondent welfare.
Data Retention
Survey responses and metadata are retained only as long as the project requires, then deleted or anonymized on a documented schedule. Panelist profiles are retained while an account remains active and purged after a defined period of inactivity.
